Niche markets
We have defined niche market as a specific portion of a huge market that has a specific demand for products and services; which means there is a group of people locally, nationally or even worldwide, who look for very specific products and services.
For instance: digital photography can be a huge market, but when you narrow to specific interest like wedding digital photography, and DIY digital photography you are targeting a niche market, it could be a wide niche but it's a niche market. And from here comes the term of macro niche market, when you limit your niche market to more specific terms and areas of interest.
Another example, Christmas gifts is a wide market, but Christmas gifts for men can be considered a niche market because your are giving more specification about your market which is "for men"; but still it is a wide niche market so try to give more specification like romantic Christmas gifts for men, here the romantic term makes our niche market more targeted and limited to specific interest. If your affiliate program works on New-York for example you can make your niche market as romantic Christmas gifts for men in New-York.
The point here is to research more and more.
How to make a research?
It can be easy, you can use word tracker to find out what people use as a search terms and how many searches per month for each terms, make a list then go to google and make a search for each term to find out how many results you have for each term, this number of results is the number of your competition.
For example, romantic Christmas gifts for men has an average of 32 searches per month, in the Christmas it will be higher and the search results are 228,000 which is a good term, remember some results will be in the search results with no value and you can easily make your website rank first on these 228,000 results.
